Bikes, Not Bombs

August 6, 2007

It would appear that the city of Lexington is finally getting its act together and striving to become a bike and pedestrian friendly town.  Well, sort of.  After repaving most major streets in the downtown area, the city failed to add bike lanes in most high-traffic areas.

Now, the Lexington Fayette Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is currently planning to make some significant changes.  They’ve released a 223-page plan, available to the public, and they invite public response and critique.

Join me in wading through it and offering the city planners some valuable feedback.
